Services for veterans

EMDR-HAP (Humanitarian Assistance program), using a grant from the McCormick Foundation, has developed a Minnesota project, providing EMDR therapy for at least 100 veterans and families who have served since 2001.  The project focuses on a 75 mile radius around the Twin Cities but a few Greater Minnesota therapists have joined and will see clients as requests for service begin.  Twenty-four EMDR therapists with Advanced Combat/Military training and/or experience have volunteered additional time to shape the project.

Referrals will be accepted after November 10, 2012.  Men and Women who have served in the military since 2001 are invited to the project.  Currently EMDR is not provided on an outpatient basis through the VA.  Veterans can be covered by their own insurance and those without insurance will be covered by the grant.  The therapy is private and confidential.

If you know veterans who could benefit from this service, have them contact:  Elaine Wynne, M.A., L.P., Site Manager, at 763-546-1662 or wynneE10@gmail.com.  In later November of 2012 we will add a Minnesota Justice Corps Outreach Coordinator who will seek out and refer veterans to the project.
